This past summer and fall, the DETY project had the opportunity to engage with festival visitors and share our mission to support Ukraine’s children at two vibrant Ukrainian festivals.
On September 6, the Festival Ukrainienne de Montréal brought the community together to celebrate Ukrainian culture, music, and traditions. DETY was present to share our message and remind everyone that every child deserves safety, a family, and a future in Ukraine.

The Toronto Bloor West Ukrainian Festival, held on September 12, 13, and 14, also provided a platform for DETY to connect with visitors and raise awareness about the ongoing tragedies affecting children in Ukraine.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to both festival organizers—not only for hosting lively celebrations of Ukrainian culture but also for supporting initiatives that amplify the voices of those affected by the war. Their commitment ensured that, alongside the joy of the festivals, the realities of the conflict and the needs of Ukraine’s children were not forgotten.
Your solidarity means the world to us and to the children whose voices we work to amplify. Every gesture of support—whether a kind word, a donation, or helping raise awareness—makes a real difference.
Together, we are building a future where every Ukrainian child can live, dream, and thrive in peace.
Join us in this mission: share our message, support the DETY Project, and help bring Ukrainian children back home.
